[기독일보=교회] KC대학교(옛 그리스도대학교) 내에 있던 동서화목그리스도의교회(담임목사 원영희)가 새 성전 마련을 위한 모금운동에 들어갔다.
이 교회 원영희 담임목사는 지난달 31일 야외에 마련된 임시처소에서 주일예배를 통해 "KC대학교 김진건 이사장은 설립자를 인정하지 않고 법을 앞세워 설립자 하스켈 체셔(HASKELL CHESSHIR·한국명 최수열) 선교사가 만든 이 교회를 강제철거 집행했다"면서 범교회를 대상을 모금운동을 시작했음을 밝혔다.
원 목사는 "지난 7월 20일 수요일 35년 동안 섬기던 교회의 모든 성전물품이 강제철거 돼 성도들은 몸만 나왔다"며 "현재 예배는 거리예배로 드려지고 있다. 동서화목그리스도의교회는 예배할 거처를 찾고 있다"고 말했다.
특히 원영희 목사는 오랜 암 투병으로 항암 약을 제대로 살 수 없는 형편임에도 귀한 헌금을 한 안영인 집사 가정에게 감사의 뜻을 전하며 "숨쉬기도 어렵고 잠자기도 어려운 상황에서 동서화목교회가 새로운 처소가 예비되길 소원하면서 100만 원을 헌금했다"고 밝히면서 이는 아내 분이 이틀간 폐지를 팔아 모은 돈 1만6,000원까지 포함된 헌금이라고 설명했다.
끝으로 원 목사는 "이 헌금이 새 예배처소의 씨앗이 되기를 간절히 소원한다"며 "동서화목그리스도의교회는 새로이 예배할 교회처소가 마련될 때까지 모금운동을 하려 한다. 후원자 여러분들을 찾고 있다"고 말했다.

East-west Church of Christ was made by L. haskell chesher (Choi, Soo-yul) missionary, the founder of KCU (korea christian university)
but Kim Jin-geon, the present chairman of the board kcu didn't admit the organizer and enforced forced removal of the church by the law of the world.
Wednesday, July 20, 2016, we lost our church by force that have had worship service for 35 years without having any items from the church.
Now we have worship service on the road.
East-west Church of Christ. We are looking for the place to have worship service.
Ahn Young-in, the deacon of Eastwest church of christ, has been long battle against cancer. The doctor stopped medical treatment.Even though he is not afford to buy drugs properly and suffering from severe physical problem, he donation his 1,000,000 won(100.000$) for the new church place.
It includes that his wife's 16,000won(160$) that she earned by collecting waste paper for two days. It is much worthier than billions at current price like a poor widow's two copper coins.
We want this donation can be the seed for the new worship place.
